Fruit in season has low shelf-life, they are damaged easily and price is very low, making farmers at a severe disadvantaged. We will provide much-needed inventory for women farmers venturing into fruit wine making so that the income of their fruit production will tremendously increase.
Shelf-life of most fruits which are in season is very low, lasting 2-3 days. During fruiting season, there is surplus of fruits and marketing them is a challenge especially for farmers far from town centers and no good market access and intelligence. The solution we offer for farmers is to turn their surplus fruits into wine and vinegar with high economic value and very long shelf-life.
The Philippines is a tropical country and fruits abound. They are in surplus and with very low shelf-life they rot easily. We will provide farmers venturing into value-adding by turning their surplus fruits into wine and vinegar with basic inventory comprising wine bottles, labels, sugar and other wine-making ingredients. They will pay this with the sales of their products and we will buy more inventories for additional production.
There is always a surplus of fruits during season and being a tropical country, fruits abound. Instead of becoming useless, the fruit in season will be turned into high-end products comprising wine and vinegar. In so doing we improve tremendously the economic situation of farmers and provide a pilot for others to follow.
