Peraj has been a great experience for me, I gained new knowledge by being a mentor and having buddy. While sharing time with him, we were able to do activities in which we interacted and learned new things together. I feel really satisfied with this social service and with my buddy. I was able to support him with his homework and we did cultural and sports activities.

Spending hours with Guadalupe was great, I liked that she was my mentor, because through her advice, experience and anecdotes I learned. She always helped when she could and cheered for me in various challenges. I know we will continue in contact.

What I lived was a great experience, I had fun because we did a lot of activities, I liked the library Ponguinguiola, the visits to the museums and sports activities. What I learned was to get along, be present, make models and friends as well as lots of other stuff. I would love to go to University here, I will always remember my Peraj experience!

For me, being Ramses's mentor meant; great knowledge, fun, responsibility and experience. I learned a lot from him and we formed a very strong trustful friendship, on which I realized that not only adults can teach children but they can teach us all something new everyday.

Finishing the school year and Peraj's mentoring

In the middle of the program

We are in the middle of the program, with 2500 mentors and 2500 buddies around the country.

Last week we visited 3 Universities in Veracruz, we couldn't be more proud of the work that the Universities and the mentors have done throughout the year.

Among the Universities we visited the Universidad Veracruzana in Coatzacoalcos, we were able to witness the work the kids are doing such as improving their math, their self-esteem and their personal confidence (the kids there have done masks to protect their identity in pictures and videos) getting the parent's permission for showing their kids in pictures was a complicated task, so with the masks, they don't have to show their faces and also they create a personal mask that shows their likes and develop their creativity.

Instituto Superior de San Andrés Tuxtla, 56 matches are working twice a week at their amazing gardens. We were able to have a talk with the School Principal who is a top supporter of Peraj, he is always cheering his kids to attend the program and see themselves as better persons.

We also went to Huauzuntlán, Veracruz, with the Universidad Veracruzana, to a small campus they have. It was overwhelming to see how 9 matches, from 6 different ethnic groups work altogether. 6 of the mentors live at student shelters because they are from communities too far away, it filled us with joy to know how they give their time to be with kids from the community.

We are very proud of the work Veracruz is doing and thanks to your donations is that we can continue supporting them in such endeavors.

Thank you for believing in Peraj and for believing in these amazing mentors. They are University students wanting to give some of their time to others, to help kids become better persons and also to develop social skills they hardly get inside a classroom or in any other social service program.
