Help working children into school

CENIT continue to strive towards the eradication of child labour and we are proud to be able to support their mission. Thank you for being part of this.

It has been another busy period at CENIT. The summer camp was a huge success. During the camp, more than 150 children participated in the different CENIT activities located in the markets of Chiriyacu and San Roque, where they enjoyed playing together, doing various sports and team building activities. The summer camp promoted an inclusive and safe environment, providing emotional support and championing respect for children's rights. 

The summer camp is just one example of how CENIT offers an invaluable service to the local community. Throughout the year, they will continue to work hard to pave the way for a better future for these children. 
We are pleased to report that Albrecht and Vero from ViaNinos have recently visited CENIT. Here is what CENIT said about their visit:

Thanks to your donations, ViaNinos has been able to offer continued to support to our partner organisation, CENIT, in Quito, Ecuador. This has enabled CENIT to help the children and families who participate in their programmes. Providing these services has been a considerable challenge given the difficult circumstances in the country - Ecuador is politically unstable, the pandemic wreaked havoc on the economy and security in Ecuador has worsened with crime on the rise due to international drug trafficking and gang violence.

The need for a safe space for children and young people to learn and enjoy childhood and adolescence has never been greater. Our thanks go to the staff and volunteers at CENIT who work hard to provide this safe space as well as quality education and access to social and pyschological support and health care. We would also like to thank you, our donors, who make this possible.
