What impact does Moustaqbel make...
Over the years, we have always been adapting our working methods according to the needs of our students. Always keeping in mind how we can achieve the objective - better chances on the labor market for our disadvantaged rural students. We notice how our work does or does not bear fruit. But it is not so easy to convert results into real impact figures that can actually be traced back to our efforts.
We previously shared the tangibly improved results of our students since we committed to subject-related tutoring. And now we have new figures to share!
Since our first group of students obtained a bachelor's degree a few years ago, a growing number of them have managed to secure a contract as teachers. Thanks to national figures made public recently, we were able to calculate the success rate of our students compared to the national average.
Students of Dar Moustaqbel have a chance of 35 percent to succeed in the national competition for a teaching job in the national education system, compared to 8 percent for any other student participating in the competition.
Of course, this is still no proof that Moustaqbel is responsible for this statistically significant difference. In theory, it could also be caused by the fact that we selected extremely motivated female students. Our explanation of this high success rate is that it is the reward of all the efforts we have been able to make - thanks to our donors - to give our students all they need to make a success of themselves. The constant effort gave students with teaching ambitions the chance to simply do what they dream of: practice teaching. This experience ensured that many made a good impression during the oral component of the exam. Zainab: "Without that experience, I don't think I would have done so well on the oral exam."
