Over the past 3 months, more than 100 girls (now uneployed from the bars which are closed) have received food, helped in part by your generous donation. These packets usually contain rice (5kg), fish sauce, cooking oil, snacks, soap, shampoo, canned fish, and 20–40 packages of Mama noodles. Our goal is to develop friendships from which we can have a foundation to teach new skills. Our classes are personal financial management, baking, and English. Our prayer is that these girls can find productive employment outside of the sex bars, which provides 1) stable income, 2) self-esteem in their skills, and 3) a better foundation for their families.
Since our office has been opened, we have welcomed over 50 girls working in the bars for food relief, English/finance/baking classes, or sometimes just to sit down and talk without pressure. We love these girls and are so happy you provided a part of the ability to do that.
Thank you so much for helping to make a difference in the lives of so many families here in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
