Project Report | Aug 2, 2019
Free transportation for children with cancer

By Maritza Ambrosio Fernandez | Project Leader

Hello, dear donors:

We are pleased to greet you and talk to you about the follow-up of our project, we continue to support children with cancer in the southern region of our state (Veracruz).

This year there are 4 new patients who were diagnosed with this condition. As far as the clinic is concerned, 30 children are under treatment and about 39 are under surveillance. It is worth mentioning that approximately 70% are patients belong to locations far away from the state such as: Jaltipan, Juan Rodríguez Clara, Santiago Tuxtla, Catemaco, San Andrés Tuxtla, Oteapan, Remolino (Las Choapas), Ángel R. Cabada, Ixhuatlán, Boca del Monte, Jesús Carranza, Minatitlán, Mapachapa, Cosoleacaque, Tatahuicapan, Uxpanapa Valley, Acayucan, Sayula de Alemán, among others.

Most of them are low-income people, you may wonder, what role do we have with them? We support them in the transfer from their locality to the hospital, as well as their return, also in special trips to other points such as Veracruz, Xalapa, Mexico City, Villahermosa, where the institutions are located for another type of treatment, specifically for treatment of tumors. We also help them buying medicines that they cannot afford.

In exchange for that they fill us with joy to see that they fight with all their strength to get ahead, talking to us about the great dreams they have for their future, such as becoming nurses, teachers, architects, among many other professions.

We would like to thank all of you for your support to our cause, and we hope you can continue supporting us.

Thank you
