Dear supporters,
This time round we're sharing a story with you about a young woman and mother who has lived through too much already for her fragile age, and for whom the medical center which exists thanks to your support has been of indispensable help.
Sofia is 21 years old and a single mother of 4 children – Simeon, aged 5, Sasha, aged 3, Metodi, aged 1, and Nikolina, who is only 2 months old. The children are registered with a GP at an address from which the family had to move away. This seriously hinders the regular attendance of child consultations for the children. Sofia and her children benefit from the paediatric consultations provided by Dr. Baynova at the medical center in Fakulteta, who, shares the young mom, provides health support that they were deprived of previously. The family has very limited financial resources. The community center which hosts the medical center also has a food bank which provides two of the children with a three-course meal daily. Sofia and her children have also received clothes through donations made to the center.
What are the next steps for Sofia and her children? Finding a new GP and registering the family, while doing their best to get back on their feet. The safety net which the center provides, and especially the free medical consultations of Dr. Baynova, are crucial for Sofia to be able to secure her future, as well as that of her children. And if it hadn’t been for your support, this safety net wouldn’t exist.
We extend our big thanks to you for your generous support! Please consider donating again, so that we can continue funding the everyday needs of the center, and share our appeal with your family and friends!
