Your generous support has not only been instrumental in the success of our Free Childcare Service for impoverished mothers in Ethiopia, but it has also enabled MHO to address the nutritional and early educational needs of vulnerable children

We are thrilled to share with you the significant progress made through the Free Childcare Service for impoverished mothers in Ethiopia, an initiative made possible through your generous support. Thanks to your contribution, MHO has been able to provide essential full-day childcare services, addressing the critical nutritional and educational needs of vulnerable children in Addis

During this reporting period, your support—provided through GlobalGiving under the project “Free Childcare Service for Poor Mothers in Ethiopia”—has enabled us to offer a variety of critical services, benefiting more than 50 children of low-income mothers in two sub-cities of Addis Ababa.as pictured below The services we provide include:

• Full-Day Childcare Services: We have created a safe and supportive environment where children are cared for while their mothers are engaged in work, allowing the mothers to pursue economic activities without concern for their children's safety or well-being.
• Nutritional Support: Each child receives daily nutritious meals, ensuring their physical growth and development. Proper nutrition is often out of reach for impoverished families, and your support has allowed us to bridge this gap.
• Healthcare Provisions: We’ve facilitated access to essential healthcare services, offering preventive care, immunizations, and treatment for common illnesses. This is a luxury that many of the families we serve could not otherwise afford.
• Counseling for Parents: We’ve conducted sessions for mothers, focusing on hygiene, nutrition, and emotional well-being, helping to empower them with the knowledge and skills to nurture their children’s growth in a holistic manner.

Through this initiative, more 50 vary poor mothers and women working in the informal sector have directly benefited. These mothers have been able to focus on their livelihoods, knowing their children are in safe hands, receiving the care, nutrition, and attention they need to thrive. Our holistic approach not only improves the children's immediate well-being but also sets the foundation for long-term positive change within these families.
