Waves Ahead has continued to provide food sustainability to over 120 individuals per month with food boxes and nutrition consultantions. All individuals are connected to a mental health therapist and case manager that can provide them the nurturance and care they may need so that they dont feel alone. The communities in the municipalities of Cabo Rojo, Isabela, Maunabo, Loiza, and metro San Juan area, plus surrounding neighborhoods, are impacted each month.
In addition, we provide yoga and meditation, mindfulness, support groups, music-therapy, creative arts, and more. All for free and available to all.
Overall, in 2024 we impacted over 480 individuals (unduplicated) across the food sustainaibility program including 130 with the tools necessary to create their home gardens.
