Dear friends of the farm,
We're back on the farm after a well-deserved break, as our farmers and team enjoyed quality time with their families during the Ied celebrations here in Indonesia.
Since our last update in December, we’d love to share how 2024 went for the YUM Organic Farm—and it’s been a great year!
Last year, we welcomed 27 passionate student interns who each spent three months learning about organic farming. With their help, and the dedication of our 7 full-time farmers, we were able to harvest over 7,600 kilograms of fresh vegetables. Among our top crops were bok choy, green salad, and butternut squash—all local favorites!
Our community spirit stayed strong too. Each month, customers helped us donate baskets of fresh vegetables to nearby families and elderly neighbors. In total, we shared almost 100 baskets of nutritious food with those in need.
Thanks to your ongoing support, YUM Organic Farm has become more than just a farm—it’s a home for our farmers and a hub for the surrounding community. Since the pandemic, we’ve grown stronger and more determined, with exciting ideas to expand into an integrated farm that includes mushrooms, herbs, and animals.
And this year is extra special—we’re celebrating 15 years of YUM Organic Farm! We couldn’t have come this far without you. Thank you for being part of our journey and for helping us continue this meaningful work.
Sincerely,
Vanessa
