Dear friends,
It’s been a lively year on the farm, with 27 agricultural students completing their four-month internships with us! Every year, our goal with the internship program stays the same: to create a space where knowledge and passion for organic farming can flow both ways.
But this program is about so much more than just farming. It’s about shaping the next wave of agricultural leaders—people who care deeply about sustainability, the environment, and the future of food security. Each student arrives with fresh ideas, unique perspectives, and a ton of energy, which adds so much to the farm’s dynamic.
While they’re here, the 15 male and 12 female students get fully hands-on with every aspect of organic farming. They’re out in the fields, making organic compost, nurturing seedlings, tending to crops, harvesting and washing the produce they’ve worked so hard to grow.
Beyond the hands-on farm work, the interns also get an introduction to the business side of agriculture. They learn about agribusiness fundamentals, including how to market the farm’s produce effectively. From understanding consumer preferences to exploring sustainable packaging ideas and sales strategies, the students gain insight into what it takes to bring fresh, organic products to market.
We are immensely grateful for your continued generous support so that the farm can continue to be a learning ground for students. As we come to the end of the year, we wish you happy holidays and a very happy new year!
