In August was our last visit, we socialized with the first 25 women of the project the agreements and actions that with their leaders we defined. Also, we took the first measurements: nutritional screening and food insecurity experience scale.
The following months we have supported their traditional food encounters where the old women leaders are promoting their culture, in order to conserve their ancestral practices around farming, cooking and weaving. The leaders and Soydoy are glad to notice that they are being aware about the importance of their role for community development, and feel happy to recognize themselves as life and family care takers and the origin of life. This intergenerational connections are strengthening the social fabric, what we have proposed, impacting the preservation of their traditions and territorial governance.
Not less important, we provide to each of them fences and seeds and the leaders are assisting them in the implementation of the fences so we are sure their orchards have various groups of food and are well protected from animals as chickens. We hope next visit will be in February 2023, until them we continue on a weekly basis following up and guiding the leaders, for the “Isuyas” development.
We invite all of our donors to continue supporting this project, in this way together we can reach 100 women in 2023. Your donation really counts! We need your support and appreciate your generosity <3
