We are extremely appreciative to all our donors and sponsors who helped us raise funds towards the community food relief efforts we engaged upon during the COVID-19 period. The funds were received from GlobalGiving and utilized towards our April - July outreach.
The COVID-19 virus that hit South Africa highlighted the urgent need for food and basic care provisions in our nearby informal township settlement called Zandspruit and other communties. Together with other partners we immediately sprang into action into meeting the needs. The most urgent being food! Food was distributed via food parcels and vouchers. The result was that the fund contribution was attributed to serving 11 648 individual meals. The attached report will highlight more details regarding the project. We would also like to request that you consider continuing your support to us as we are still busy with the relief work for some time to come.
