Green City Hackathon - First Steps

Dear Green Friends & Partners,

This has been a very intense period for Green City Hackathon team, as this is our most ambitious project to date. Thanks to your contribution, we earned a permanent spot on GlobalGiving and started to work for the implementation of the project in Albania. We are so excited to share with You our first steps.

We have started the promotion of our project in national media (https://youtu.be/YCnQlcLDCZM & https://goo.gl/QrdJxz).

During this preparatory phase, we have officially presented the Prizes that will be awarded to the winners of the First Edition of Green City Hackathon in Albania, as follow:

First GC Hackathon Prize – Starting from 3.000 USD
Second GC Hackathon Prize – Starting from 1.500 USD
Third GC Hackathon Prize – Starting from 800 USD
10 Green City Goals Prizes – Starting from 500 USD
Hackathon Community Prize – The Big Surprise, to be unvieled in the final ceremony.

We launched a dedicated web page of the project in “Beta Version” and we are currently working to make it better and to enrich it with all necessary information about the project. Below the link: https://www.greencityhackathon.org

As the social media is the first door of information for the young generation, we created profiles of Green City Hackathon in different social media channels like Facebook, Twitter & Instagram, where we share informations about the project. Another important step towards the success of the project is the opening of the registartions for thefirst greneration of Green Leaders: https://www.greencityhackathon.org/green-city-hackathon/registration/ and started receiving the first applications.

Green City Hackathon project has gained the interest of youth as well as other interest groups.

Your support and public interest are encouraging us and confirming the fact that we are working on the right direction, towards empowering youth and developing green cities. Broader, extensive and continuous support is necessary to reach our final target of raising USD 39,500 and make The First Green City Hackathon in Albania a successful story.
