Supporting Women in Jaipur, March 2024

A message from Dr. Sharwan Saini

Dear friends,

India's low ranking of 127 out of 146 countries in the 2023 gender inequality report is a cause for concern. The problem is more acute in states like Rajasthan, where girls face many barriers to education, health, training, and other social benefits. They are denied the opportunity to progress along with boys due to the lack of timely interventions.

The main reason for this situation is the patriarchal system that prevails in India. Women are discriminated against from before they are born. They are not given equal rights and opportunities as men in a male-dominated society. Many women become accustomed to this discrimination and do not realize their own potential and freedom. There is a need to change the way women are perceived and treated.

Save Kids Trust works to empower women through education, training, and counseling. We work with adolescent girls and young women in the slums of Jaipur to help them discover and use their talents and skills. We also raise awareness about health and other issues through camps and meetings.

Your support is crucial! Your contributing and participating in our efforts to bring equality and inclusion to those who are marginalized and excluded makes a difference. We sincerely thank you for your support!
