By John Roccanova | Grow Against Poverty Volunteer Fundraiser
Dear Donors,
Grow Against Poverty’s “Fields for Greens” program continues to provide instruction and healthy food at seven school gardens in Busia County, Kenya. Students actively cultivate the ½ acre gardens and get to eat the greens and other vegetables they grow. Two of the favorites are carrots and African kale called kanzira. It's more nutritious than other leafy vegetables and cooked using very little heat energy which preserves nutrients and fuelwood.
Your support will help Grow Against Poverty continue this program in these schools and allow us to expand it to other high schools and then to primary schools.
Sincerely,
John Roccanova
