Dear Green Fields Supporters,
It’s mid-summer in Kenya and school started for the year last month. Students have planted organic gardens at 9 schools. They are looking forward to the long rains which begin in March and last until May. Grow Against Poverty’s volunteers continue to work with each school throughout the year.
These gardens are a valuable learning experience for hundreds of children and provide hundreds of pounds of produce for school lunches. For many students, these meals are often the most nutritious one of the day.
Funds have been raised for a tenth garden at another school and Grow Against Poverty is planning one more by the end of the year.
Your continued support is appreciated.
Sincerely,
John Roccanova
