Helping children one at a time
Dear Friend,
Greetings and thank you very much for your support to our project feeding starving children. We are happy to inform you that we have expanded this initiative to 2 more villages with additional support coming our way. The holiday season has also provided us with resources enabling us to support more beneficiaries. We do not focus on children only but also on their parents by providing aside from food, small livelihood support. Most of the livelihood projects we implemented together with the beneficiaries are on home gardening and small-scale farming. This reporting period we were able to provide support to 175 children and their families. Hoping that you continue to help us as we face the new year. Thank you very much and much blessings to you.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian

Food supply for remote villages

Growing resilient crops
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative feeding children who are starving and lack the needed resources. Most of them are children of small farmers who have difficulty in producing harvest from their farm due to climate change and the changing weather conditions making it difficult to time the growing of food. In the past this phenomenon is not usual but it is occurring in great degree at this time. One of our solutions is to train farmers to grow climate-resilient root crops like sweet potato and cassava. Root crops can also withstand changes in weather conditions. We also train farmers to grow short-gestating vegetables which they can harvest in a few months. This reporting period we were able to conduct 1 training session as well as to provide seeds and organic fertilizer to 25 young farmers. Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian Sayre

Expanding to new barrios

Assessment of new barrios
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your continuing support to our initiative feeding starving children. While we focus our effort to developing projects that are sustainable and will provide children and their families with food supply we try also to provide for immediate needs by supplying rice, noodles, milk and other food. There is a delicate balance always on how to do this in order not to promote dependency and so we continue to conduct assessment and review of the needs of the barrios. We select as usual barrios that are remote and that are considered poor in the communities. This reporting period we expanded our effort to focus on additional 2-3 barrios as areas for our assistance. We shall bring also on the new barrios our water, sanitation and local livelihood implementation. Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian Sayre
