This isn’t about supplying luxuries, or ‘nice-to-haves’. It’s about the bare essentials of life.
Last month, we supplied 12,000 people across Greece with food. Working with our remarkable local Greek partners, we ensured many refugees in camps or sleeping rough were able to eat well. But as Greece drops off the media’s radar, providing funds for these basics is getting harder.
Due to a huge number in new arrivals in Greece, thousands of refugees are not registered and therefore are not receiving any services from the state. Our program fills this gap, providing immediate assistance to those who need it most. We distribute hot meals to those who don't have access to cooking facilities, and fresh fruit and veg with dry food for people who can cook.
Please share this report. Please don’t allow some of the most vulnerable people in Europe to go without.
