This Spring, a generous donor sponsored the daily, nutritious meals for all of the 166 students at Hamida Memorial School in Lalmonirhat in North Bengal for one year.
Hamida Memorial School, located in an area severely affected by climate change and inadequate rainfall, faces unique challenges. Drought and the loss of agrarian land have made farming limited and other work hard to come by.
The high-protein meals that Thrive serves have considerably improved school attendance and increased enrollment. We are so grateful for the positive effect that nutritious meals are having on these children.
When school meals are coupled with education, lives are transformed.
