Thank you for helping the kids!

It's November, the clocks have changed, and winter is looming in the northern hemisphere.  Meanwhile in Bolivia, it's spring, the days are getting warmer, and summer is on its way!

Thanks to your caring support, in September Help Bolivia's second project for children launched in Villa Ingenio, an impoverished neighbourhood in El Alto.  This is a Saturday afternoon program to start, but the goal is to grow it to a 5 day a week program like at the Tahuantinsuyo Community Centre.  Every Saturday 47 children attend, ages 6 to 13.  These children are mostly from single parent homes, all are extremely poor, and all were left behind when school was cancelled in 2020 and then moved online in 2021.  The parents are anxious for their children to receive full time education support, but they know that this must wait.  In the meantime the program is a refuge for the kids, a safe and happy space that brightens up their lives.  Thank you for helping this program start up!  Click on the link below to see the program launch video. Feel the excitement!

This summer Help Bolivia received a grant to run the sewing and entrepreneurship program at the Tahuantinsuyo Community Centre for a year, and now 30 women and teens are learning important skills that will help them gain employment!

The nutrition and education support programs at the Tahuantinsuyo Community Centre continue to run well. The children are happy and thriving thanks to your support.  Click on the link below to hear the mothers say "Thank you"!

Your support makes a difference for children like Nadia! This six-year-old entered the Tahuantinsuyo project in 2020. She is currently in grade one.

Both of Nadia's parents work hard at full-time jobs, but their income is insufficient to support the household's four members. So while they dream of owning their own home someday, Nadia and her family live with their maternal grandfather.

Nadia and her older brother both benefit from your caring help. Nadia receives tutoring to help her with learning language and math. Nadia actively participates in the classroom, allowing her to build her skills. She was named one of the best students in her course at the Tahuantinsuyo Educational Unit! Thank you for helping Nadia learn and succeed.
