Over the Christmas holiday, MCC children and guardians were treated to a quality gift of food provisions. Each household received packets of wheat flour, rice and cooking oil. The Centre's daily meals program received accolades and gifts of addtional provisions from the County Government of Makueni, to supplement our Centre's food distribution. MCC has begun to provide dairy goats for many of the households to add nutritious milk to their diets. In 1998, we started out delivering food to 73 children three days a week. Today we feed over 350 children daily and cover the cost of all basic needs (food, health, education, shelter, emotional support) for 565 children. In addition, we provide the households of those children additional supplementary bulk food with some support available to the guardians of the households too. We are grateful for the continued support of our donors who help us expand and maintain the meals support to our children.
