Project Report | Jan 22, 2018
Food is medicine.

By Samira Lobby | Project Leader

Food is the ultimate healing source, without nutrition people absolutely can not function. In an arid land like Kenya, finding food and maintaining a nutritious diet  is very difficult.  Many of our children at the centre live with HIV and besides their antiretrovirals, they need food to keep their immune systems as strong as possible. We have been able to provide for the hundreds of kids that visit our centre, and the guardians that raise them thanks to this cause. We are so glad to know that our kids are not hungry because they all receive at least one meal a day at our centre. Donations to this prevent kids from missing school in search of food for themselves or their families. Food keeps their bodies functional, especially to those who are constantly fighting through HIV. We hope you continue to support the children by helping them stay nutritionally healthy and happy.
