There has been great progress in Mbata over the last few months.
Since Feburary the power generated at the Smart Agri Centre (SAC) has been distributed to 40 shops in the Mbata trading centre. This has caused much higher attendance and trade at the evening markets, where over 2000 Ugandan farmers will frequently visit and access services they previously had to travel over 20km to access.
The street lights have helped to improve security and there has been broad gratitude for this work, completed by our partner Kiima Foods.
The Mbata health clinic also reached the milestone of 1100 women to recive antenatal screening. All using power from the SAC.
The rainy season is continuing on and the nearby river has caused sever flooding, damage to the bridge into Mbata and farmland. With you're support we want to continue working with the people of Mbata to bring holistic development to their off-grid community.
Once the rains have ceased and repair work has been completed we plan to focus on further improving agri-processig facilities.
The newly constructed coffee washing station will help farmers to prepare parchment coffee to a higher standard and recive much more profit for their works.
Please watch our latest video showcasing the work being done.
Kind regards and thank you for your continued financial backing!
