Dear Friends,
It's my pleasure to send you this update just two days after visiiting the community in Mbata, so I can report on all the progress there. The farmers are using the Smart Agri-Centre that we've installed there, and it is making a difference to the community.
I saw lots of agri-processing work going on in and around the centre, which has become even more of a community focal point now, and in the trading centre of the village, adjacent to our centre, there is lots of new construction as village entrepreneurs are deciding to set up new shops, to benefit from the passing trade of all the people using the centre.
We were helping to fix up a system for running hot and cold water at the centre this time, and planning also for lighting around the Agri-Centre, but also for the Centre of the village itself - not just for security, but to allow village life to continue after sunset.
As ever, if you'd like to share this project with friends and family, so that they can contribute as well, we and all the villagers of Mbata in Western Uganda would be very grateful.
Many thanks, until the next time
Bernie
