Our families delight in seeing their loved ones trying new skills, or resurrecting skills they’ve not utilized for years.
A case in point: making Kras shanekh, spinach pies.
For Latifeh, the activity brought back memories of the many times she helped her mother make them for special occasions.
For Issa, working with the dough provided the challenge of exercising his arthritic hands. For the cooking team, a lesson in working cooperatively.
For the family members lucky enough to come that afternoon, a delicious treat, served with pride.
I can practically smell the lovely aroma just from looking at the photos!
Thank you for all you do to support us in helping these people in need.
