Dear all,
Kindly find our updated report. We thank all of you for your continued support .
UPDATES ON FAMILY MICRO-ENTERPRISES
In August, we paid visits to all of the families of orphans and vulnerable children you helped us to establish microenterprises. The goal of these visit was to check on the success of these microenterprises, have conversations with guardians, and provide guidance as needed.
During the visits, the guardians with cattle reported that they are recovering from the significant loss they experienced due to the long-term drought which caused the majority of their cattle to die.
Despite all the difficulties, the family we mentioned in our last report that had sold a cow that was almost dying and started a shop business was doing well and had expanded. The profit is utilized to buy additional products for the shop and helps them meet their day-to-day needs.
Update on Petal (reusable towel) Micro-enterprises
We are making more petal reusable sanitary towels to be distributed to nearby schools around us. The sanitary towels will be given to each girl in these school because access to sanitary towels has been a major challenge for them, affecting their education and some of them have even dropped out of school because they are unable to access, and others have chosen to stay at home due to self-esteem issues. We shall keep you updated on the progress of these Micro-enterprise.
