Thank you for helping us arrange and pay for special medical care for 22 orphaned and vulnerable children.

All children and guardians enrolled with Makindu Children's Program have access to local clinics for minor injuries and ailments. 916 sought and received vital healthcare services in 2024. The 22 children with special medical needs are enrolled in a specialized school, benefiting from essential care like hearing aids, eye exams, and corrective surgeries. Our commitment extends to mental health support as well, fostering emotional well-being through Psycho-Social events that strengthen community bonds and relationships.

The  young boy pictured below was once isolated at home due to limited use of his legs. He is now mobile, attending and doing well in school and making friends. He can now assist with some chores inside and out, improving his sense of self-worth, and greatly reducing the stress and workload on the guardian. Always smiling, this guy is a joy to watch as he peddles around, ever happy, ever helpful.

The little girl in the video was born with spina bifida, with no use of her legs or control of her bladder. With MCP's intervention and support, she has now learned to walk and control her organs. Her delighted smile at her mobility will warm anyone's heart. She goes to school now, is making new friends, and experiencing life outside her small home. You have changed the life and world of this little girl.  She will continue to need medical care and attention, as will many other children in our program, including the 22 enrolled in a special needs school.

You have absolutely helped change and improve the lives of these children. Please continue to support Makindu Children's Program and help more children like them.
