An integral part of Twende's success is our ability to give our innovators and workshop participants a place to practice the skills they're learning, get hands-on experience with tools and technologies, and build prototypes of their innovations. To expand our capacity for additional workshops, labs and staff, we will transform current staff offices into the Twende Design Lab (TD-Lab) for our aspiring and accomplished innovators and create a two-level multi-purpose building extension at the front
Our programs have a proven impact helping rural Tanzanians gain the knowledge and skills to improve their livelihoods. Our current facilities limit the number of workshops and participants we can serve, and don't currently meet demand. Expanding our space and staffing will allow us to better meet the needs of our communities.
Expanding our labs, workshop, and staffing will allow us to expand our programs, showcase our innovators, and better support new entrepreneurial ventures. We will be better positioned to meet the demand for services in our communities.
Twende is filling a gap in the current educational system, and our work will empower people to innovate grassroots solutions to problems relating to poverty, education, housing, food security, community health and well-being. This will lead to internally-driven sustainable change and allow Tanzanians to become self-sufficient in identifying and solving their own problems. By expanding our facilities, we can increase our impact.
