Transformative Impact with Maya Businesswomen

By Sam Kemp | Program Coordinator

In September and October, AMA businesswomen participated in a series of networking and business education events in Quetzaltenango and Totonicapán. These events were instrumental in fostering growth and empowerment among local entrepreneurs. Among the highlights was a business meeting that showcased their exceptional products and created invaluable opportunities for forging new business connections.

This progress was made possible thanks to the generous support of our donors. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to both the donors and our invaluable partners, USAID Guatemala and OIM, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in the success of this project.

Entrepreneurs in the regions of Xela, Toto, San Marcos, and Sololá have undergone transformative improvements in their products, services, and training. These enhancements have equipped them with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the complexities of business administration and marketing successfully.

This program is committed to preserving the Mayan identity and strong communities of these talented entrepreneurs. With the opportunities provided by this initiative, these women have been making progress towards generating sustainable income, contributing to the enrichment and prosperity within their local communities.

We look forward to further supporting their endeavors and witnessing the continued growth of their businesses and empowerment in the future. Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to this cause.

Sincerely,
The Highland Support Project Team
