Our participants find their voices, their purpose, their life - through horses!
What does it mean when someone “Find’s their voice”? Collins American English Dictionary states: If someone finds their voice, they start to speak in spite of fear or surprise or difficult circumstances.
Many participants come to Equine-Assisted Therapies of South Florida (EATSF) as non-verbal, or non-speaking individuals. Over time they begin to develop trust, belonging, and relationships that lead to improved communication. Some speak their first words to a horse while others communicate in a language all their own. This is magic. Your contributions allow the magic to spread and grow, so that everyone can hear the cheers of success.
We here at EATSF want to thank you for supporting scholarships for the children and adults with special needs that participate in our programs. If we could, we would shout it from the roof tops!
For over 40 years, our programs have been successful because of the synergy created between a participant and their horse. It is this partnership that goes a long way toward meeting individual goals where participants can improve their balance and coordination, gain strength, build self-confidence, and develop their communication and social skills.
Your gift provides a portion of their season fees and assists with the care and feeding of our 11 horses. It also helps pay for Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors and Equine Specialists that teach lessons; and provides volunteers with valuable training that helps make out programs possible.
We thank you for your support that helps pave the path to independence where everyone has a voice in what their future holds.
