Dear Crowdfunders,
Thank you for your support to La Serenissima. Your generosity is very much appreciated.
We have had a busy start to the year with an exciting trip to Leeds for the Association of British Orchestras conference, several concerts and a new recording of Vivaldi double concerti in Cedars Hall, Wells. Vivaldi's writing for pairs of instruments comprises some of the most fun music in his output - we had a blast in these sessions!
We look forward to the release of new album An Englishman Abroad on 5 May 2023, in time for the coronation of HM King Charles III. This will be a coronation-branded project which explores various Carolean themes with music by Brescianello, Caldara, Nicola Matteis The Younger, Henry Purcell, Telemann and (of course!) Vivaldi. Look out for our first single from the recording, Purcell's Chacony, on streaming platforms from 21 March.
Adrian is working through the edit of the Volume 2 of Brescianello's Opus 1 at the moment. The music is beautiful and we are excited to know the album will be out in October AT LAST - under the title Brescianello Unlocked.
We hope you are enjoying the wealth of material being released on YouTube now, thanks to the work of Da Capo Digital. It's been great to have daily comments and interactions with followers through the platform - it really makes the research feel very much alive and relevant.
We hope to take part in the Little By Little campaign in April on GlobalGiving. Thank you for your enthusiasm and support.
With all good wishes
Camilla
