The students of Enlaces gave us three shows with great artistic and human impact.
One of these presentations, led by our most advanced group of students, was a didactic session for children from the public schools located around the old quarter of Panama City.
At the end of the session, a conversation was held, and some volunteers from the audience were able to participate dance exercises with our students!
At our gala show, we had the opportunity to appreciate individual works, duets, and a piece by the group of beginners, called "Frente a Frente" (face to face). For many of them, this was their first theater experience.
The closing piece of our annual gala was "Entre líneas" (Between lines), with the participation of our intermediate and advanced group of students. Between the lines was a direct and honest product of an exercise of collective creation, oriented to translate into the language of dance, their experiences, contrasts and the beauty of the daily life of our students in their neighborhoods and communities.
Our students invited us into their world, and helped us understand them even more deeply. To encounter their reality without prejudice and without condescension, but respecting their identity, history, richness, and the beauty that exists in their life and neighborhoods, beyond the imperative stereotype of precariousness.
Thank you for making it possible to have such a special evening.
