Great news from Germany!

Jose G. is a young man from Santa Ana, a community full of color and joy. From a very young age, Jose found in dance his deepest passion, his way of expressing himself and connecting with the world around him. However, his journey was not always easy.

When Jose was only 2 years old, his life took an unexpected turn. Due to various circumstances, his parents were unable to take care of him, and it was his grandmother Alicia who welcomed him with open arms. From that moment, Alicia became his mother, his guide, and his greatest support.

As Jose grew up, his talent for dance became more evident. At the age of 10, he had the opportunity to join the Enlaces program. In Enlaces, Jose found a home, a place where his talent was nurtured and valued.

His talent and discipline opened doors to a world of possibilities. He traveled to different places, met inspiring teachers, and shared experiences with talented young people like himself. Jose became a youth leader, an example for other young people who longed to find their voice through art.

The hard work, discipline, and commitment of Jose allowed him to achieve his greatest dream: a full scholarship to study dance at the prestigious Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam. During his time at the university, Jose immersed himself in an enriching learning environment, surrounded by talent and creativity. Every class, rehearsal, and performance were opportunities for growth and refinement.

Today, we are here to celebrate Jose's achievements. Not only did he graduate from university, becoming the first Enlaces program graduate to reach that milestone, but he has also been hired by the renowned Tanzmainz Dance Company, a contemporary dance company in Germany.

In his own words, Jose shares his gratitude and excitement: "A few days ago, I signed a two-year contract with the company. I am more than grateful for this incredible opportunity. It is a safe space, full of wonderful people and a talented but above all united team. This season as an apprentice has been filled with challenges and artistic growth. I have had the opportunity to work alongside great choreographers and perform in different locations in Germany. It marks the end of a 4-year chapter of preparation and the beginning of my life as a professional dancer."

Jose is a living example of how hard work, family support, and determination can turn dreams into reality. His story inspires all those who, like him, strive to achieve their goals and leave a mark on the world through art. Enlaces takes pride in being part of Jose's journey and will continue to work to make the dreams of other talented young people come true.
