At Risk Children Dance for Social Change

Within the framework of World Children's Day 2019, we join UNICEF
in the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the
Rights of the Child, the most widely ratified human rights treaty in the
history of mankind.

Through a piece of screen-dance, our students celebrate the progress
that has been achieved since the signing of the Convention and invite us
to question the many challenges that children and adolescents still face
in the world such as prolonged conflicts, mass migrations, online
exploitation, discrimination, abuse and an environmental crisis that
threatens their present and future.

This is their moment, the moment to be brave and bold, to participate
and defend what matters to them, their right to be happy and healthy, to
be cared for and heard, to be loved, to be a priority for their
governments, and to take care of their common house, Earth.
We are honored to work with UNICEF and other partner organizations
in building a world where every child is safe, healthy and protected, and
has the opportunity to learn and choose the future he deserves.

Enlaces develops the Self-STEAM Project, which seeks to bring children and adolescents from vulnerable communities closer to the fertile field that opens up around the disciplines STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) in a creative and fun way.

Through this initiative we seek to respond to the need to integrate, give context and promote the learning of science, using art as an engine to generate significant learning.

The boys and girls receive robotics and LEGO Bricks workshops, using movement as a metaphor; generating a meeting between science and art, and allowing our students to apply their creative skills, and discover themselves as people capable of creating innovation and experimenting science.

In Enlaces we believe that education is the way to a full and dignified life. With your support, we are able to expose our children to important tools that will allow them to face the challenges that life presents, and to continue transforming their lives and communities through education, art and culture.
