Dear Supporter,
The 2019-2020 school year has begun! This term we have welcomed 200 new students at the two government schools we support. This means we are now supporting over 800 students in total with English education!
With your help we were able to maintain our 5 full time, fully qualified, fluent English speaking teachers. Our teachers have put in endless hours designing this year’s curriculum and classwork, inclusive of English, Math and Science. All of these subjects are taught in English, expanding the students’ English vocabulary exponentially.
Our teachers are very passionate about teaching, as seen in their class preparation and classroom presence. Each lesson is constructed with lesson objectives and student development in mind, utilizing donated classroom supplies such as paper, pencils, glue, erasers and scissors for students to complete interactive classwork.
Pictured here are photos of Teacher Hamant’s Science in English classes this month. The students are learning about plant anatomy and the differences between living and nonliving things. He is very animated in the classroom and enjoys bringing children into nature to discuss classroom topics for a fun, hands-on learning environment.
We are so grateful to each and every one of our donors who enable us to educate and inspire hundreds of underprivileged children. You are helping us change lives and futures, and for that we say THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
The Students,
Teachers and Staff at
Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation
