Lyra is incredibly grateful for your generous contributions to our organization, which have made
a significant impact on the lives of 150 girls. Thanks to your support, we have purchased 150
packets of reusable sanitary pads, ensuring that these girls can manage their periods with
dignity and confidence. This initiative helps them stay in school and eliminates the barrier of
missing crucial school days each month due to a lack of menstrual hygiene products.
Alongside pads distribution, we are planning to conduct another phase of MHM training in
collaboration with our partners AFRI- pads this coming April. Where we are expecting to reach
out to more than 3000 students, girls and boys, in the Lyra-supported schools
Also, for sustainability, school teachers have been delivering Menstrual Hygiene Management
(MHM) training in 10 Lyra-supported secondary schools. This training educates girls on how to
manage their periods hygienically while also including boys in the conversation to foster
understanding and break the stigma surrounding menstruation. By engaging both girls and
boys, we are creating supportive school environments where no girl has to feel ashamed or left
behind because of her period.
Your support is not just providing essential supplies—it is helping to empower young girls,
promote gender equality, and build a future where no student is held back by menstruation.
Thank you for being part of this change!
