With the help of your generous donations, we were able to provide sani pads and menstruation training to rural school girls at Kipera School, Iringa, Tanzania.
Your donations enabled Lyra to donate 9 boxes of pads to the schools (total of 135 sani pads), and our partner Star Women donated a further 15 boxes of pads. These pads, along with the menstruation training conducted will enable these girls to manage their periods safely, enabling them to stay in school during their periods.
A huge thank you from Lyra in Africa, as well as the students from Kipera School in Tanzania!
From our work on the ground in Tanzania we see how a simple intervention, like providing sani pads and awareness raising, can transform a girls ability to manage their periods safely and stay in school. There are so many more girls, like the girls at Kipera school who can benefit from this intervention in rural Tanzania. Can you help them by making a further donation to our campaign? Every donation truly makes a big difference to the lives of rural girls in Tanzania. Thank you!
