In Their Own Words

What is it like to find yourself suddenly involved in a world of slavery? A world of exploitation, oppression, and psychological torment. To many survivors, their immersion into the world of sex trafficking was unexpected and all too sudden. A boy in Chicago flees a volatile family and suddenly finds himself being 'broken in' for the world of prostitution. In Boston, a college freshman meets a stranger at a party and soon after becomes another victim to the Johns of Massachusetts.

In our continued effort to amplify and convey the voices of victims worldwide, 3 Generations recently screened interviews of survivors from our feature film, TRICKED. In a speaking panel following the screening, survivors Nick and Danielle provided their own insights on how easily the world of sex slavery can claim another victim. In their own words we learned how a combination of psychological manipulation at the hands of pimps and the johns who fuel the trade only perpetuate the cycle of slavery.

3 Generations' campaign to end child sex slavery in the U.S relies on your support to raise awareness for the hidden world of sex trafficking. As we look to 2015, 3 Generations will continue to amplify and honor the voices of survivors to ensure children do not find themselves vulnerable to world of sex slavery. 2015 will be a year in which we highlight the dark and little discussed exploitation of young boys.
