For over 15 years, 3 Generations has made films about critical social justice issues: genocide, sex trafficking, Native American justice, refugees, ecocide, veterans, and criminal justice. Through film, we enable survivors to record their experiences as an act of healing, a call to action, and historical evidence for future generations. Our work has shown us how crucial it is to provide a platform for these stories
In 2010, 3 Generations set out to redefine sex trafficking in the United States as a human rights abuse. We made a series of ten short videos telling the stories of sex trafficking survivors, collaborating with four NGOs working on this issue. Since then, our sex trafficking campaign has grown organically and exponentially. To date, we have created more than twenty videos, three award-winning short films, and the acclaimed feature documentary TRICKED. To date it has been translated into 13 languages and viewed worldwide. We continue to recognize sex trafficking as a major human rights abuse.
Our advocacy for women and girls continues through our Defending Reproductive Justice Campaign. Its focus is to spotlight the need for full, fair, and accessible reproductive healthcare. We will bring new stories to light that illustrate why reproductive justice matters for us all, including those who have been trafficked. We will always stand by them.
Although the scourge of sex trafficking remains in the shadows, 3 Generations will continue to advocate for sex trafficking survivors and honor their courage and their stories. We will do so through our existing body of stories which live on at our website and through the new focus on Defending Reproductive Justice. Together, we can make a difference.
