3 Generations has been documenting stories about victims of sex trafficking since 2010. Over the past twelve years, we have created more than twenty videos, three award-winning short films, and the feature documentary Tricked. It is our mission to provide a vital platform for victims of sex trafficking to tell their stories.
We have some updates to share about our critical work. The Saint Lawrence County Safe Harbour and SUNY Potsdam are hosting a screening of our feature documentary Tricked on April 25 to commemorate National Crime Victims Awareness Week. It will be followed by a discussion with our Founder and the Director/Producer of the film Jane Wells.
We are also sponsoring our 2nd Annual Youth Video Contest this spring. We are asking aspiring young filmmakers to use Tricked as inspiration for their own short film that answers the prompt “Why document the truth?”. Tricked and the awareness campaign that we ran alongside it helped establish sex trafficking as a global human rights abuse. We are encouraging young people between the ages of 16-26 to watch the film and use it to inspire their documentation of human rights abuses.
