At Poncitlán, the youngest generations are slowly decaying. Chapala currently holds a poverty index that represents almost half of its population (47%). While this happens, in San Pedro Itzicán 40% of children have kidney damage due to the polluted water of the lake nearby, which severely affects the health of our beneficiaries.
We aim to change this reality in order to provide proper nutritional health and food intake. Since we opened the attention centers in 2022, we’ve been focused on giving the children a complete nutritional follow-up to each girl and boy registered at ONI.
Significant progress was achieved with each of the attended families, since they constantly mention how the ONIformula has helped their kids maintain a healthy weight, while also participating actively in the educational program, using the ONIdiario.
The nutritional health status of girls and boys has improved drastically, which ensures the proper development of the children and, most importantly, their right to live. Thanks to your donations, we keep aiming to end malnutrition and guarantee an adequate food intake for children.
