Espiral por la Vida, A.C., is a Mexican non-profit civil organization founded in Oaxaca in 2005 by a group of professionals and academics committed to social development and the fulfillment of human rights in communities in the State of Oaxaca and the promotion of the political participation of girls, adolescents and women.
To provide accompaniment and professional services to indigenous girls, boys, youth and women in Oaxaca for the promotion, defense and full exercise of their rights.
We envision a Oaxaca with more just and egalitarian communities that listen to the voices of girls, young women and women as fundamental actors of social change, as well as a society in which the dignity and rights of all are respected.
Dear friends and benefactors: From Espiral por la Vida we joyfully share with you the main achievements of this final stretch of the year, which has been nurtured by the great learning and contributions of the women with whom we walk in the defense of human rights in the Zapotec communities of the Sierra Norte and Valles Centrales of Oaxaca..
Their contribution has been very important in the achievement of these objectives, since their donations have been a very important base in sustaining our work and in the empowerment of more than 100 indigenous Zapotec women in the state of Oaxaca.
A transversal axis in the defense of political rights is the promotion of women's right to a life free of violence, both individually and in community spaces, so we are training and sensitizing different social sectors in the prevention and attention to family violence and violence against women in :

WOMEN'S POLITICAL RIGHTS:
In the work of defending women's political rights we continue to generate strategies to strengthen women in municipal positions and women who at the beginning of the year 2023 will begin the exercise of their functions in their local governments, within the strategies designed to be implemented in the short term and to give continuity to previous work we will begin the new edition of the Virtual Diploma on Women's Political Rights, to train women who are assuming a municipal position for the first time on the subject.
