Young women happy with the training

We did it! Our first crowd funding campaign of #empowering 500 vulnerable women in Yemen facing COVID-19 project with our partners globalgiving succeeded! We didn’t reach our target of collecting 250K yet, but decided to start the awareness campaign with the amount of funds we received from everyone around the world and it was a motivation to us and social responsibility.

All since we submitted our first report, we prepared and signed a service contract for 2 female coaches & social workers (females trainer) for 5 working days and each one of them received 75$ per day which makes them earn a total of 375$/each one to provide an awareness training for vulnerable young women on how to prevent their selves from domestic and GBV violence.

Before starting the awareness training the coaches & social workers' have been trained for one day by 2 professional health trainers who received 50$/each one. The training was on COVID-19 prevention methods and made the coaches & social workers knowledgeable and able to provide the training complying with WHO instruction correctly. Those women were extremely excited to take part in spreading awareness of this dreadful disease that took the lives of so many people so far. As well as furnishing the girls with newest self-leadership skills and approaches and how to prevent their self from domestic and GBV violence.

We needed to have cooperation from the orphan house that these girls and women are staying in to facilitate the process of them reaching to as many benefits as possible and to make sure they fill in the progress report each working day. Therefore, we prepared and signed contracts for 2 field coordinators with 100$ fees per person. The process went smoothly during all training steps from preparation to final session of training and distribution of certificates. We didn’t want to only spread awareness through these social workers and coaches, we wanted to also try and make it a little better in terms of stimulate this little ladies to be supporters in their dorms and support the younger girls. So we provide them with the training curriculum printed to be used as self-guideline during their daily life. We tried to think of creative ways to spread awareness all throughout their community, schools and dorms places so we designed (By Concern Organization internal designers team) catchy and simple designs that present ways of how to be yourself manger and how to successful and empowered women and how to prevented from prospective domestic and GBV violence. moreover ,We had A3 posters and a brochure with full details on how to be prevented methods too. We printed 500 posters and 500 brochures and spread them around. After that, five days of awareness campaign were held for 20 young women
