Concern Org. (CWC) has always emphasized the importance of quality teaching as the underpinning of an effective education system for Yemen. In Feb.2021, Concern Org. trained 50 teachers (female) in modern teaching methods. Some teachers also participated in workshops on various subjects such as the role of women, leadership, peace and health, and GBV prevention.
Attending a quality teacher training seminar can be life changing for a teacher, especially for those who have had little formal instruction in how to be a teacher. “I learned a lot about student psychology and now my attitude towards my students in changed. I attempt to be kinder and milder with them and care for them as their parents do. I know how to employ different methods of evaluation and in a way that does not frighten students but instead helps them perform at their best. ” (Samia, one of the teachers who attend the training and workshops)

Covid-19 has created many challenges for CWC staff and its program management. However, CWC offices and the education program has been adapted to provide distance learning to teachers. Teachers are provided with education packs and access to a training materails as well as other related information via email, and in person if necessary.

The workshop training program at sites is suspended but the CWC was able to provide 6 trainings for teachers. In Feb.2021 , there were two teaching methodology trainings for 50 female teachers. They held a mini workshop on New Methods of Teaching, Peace and the Evaluation of Teaching Curriculum all of which were attended by teachers.

CWC is continuing to pay all its staff including teachers. There are some teachers in the community who have lost their jobs due to the virus , disrupting their way of life and financial security.

In year 2020, hundreds of marginalized women and children got the benefit of Better livelihood, Health, Education, Skill Development training by Concern Organization for women & children(CWC). This well-doing could be possible just because of your generous donation support and the CWC organisation has an important role in the significant effort. We got opportunities to learn through guidance, webinar, feedback training of GlobalGiving Team. The experience helped the organisation team to perform better for the welfare of deprived community at grassroots level. We are thankful to Respected Donor & GlobalGiving for all this.

We are glad to share with you our great work during the first weeks of 2021.Our coronavirus relief is focused on food insecurity. You’ve provided 500 families with a generous bag of food and fresh produce, and you’ve provided another 500 set of COVID-19 protection and cleaning materials, were distributed to families headed by women.
Our planned project is to provide families' children with education, school expenses and health care this plans will be implemented gradually depending on the collected fund for this project.
