Hi Bonnie,
I just want to say thank you again to you and Gigi for such a wonderful experience in nature at Stone Barns! It was really wonderful to have our group not only participating in the activity, but really engaged in listening to the tour guide, sharing their own personal stories and pieces of knowledge, and asking great questions. Since we are in the process of growing our own garden at Link-Up’s home-base, it was exciting to see everyone gaining more knowledge of how to take care of plants and vegetables. All the participants were then able to bring back that knowledge to our own plants and veggies.
All of the participants had nothing but positive feedback after our day full of nature. It was a good mix of everyone enjoying sharing their own knowledge, gaining new knowledge, understanding the importance of bees and pollination, getting to spend time with the many different types of plants and veggies, as well as with the animals. Even the participants that were not feeling well that day or having a rough morning, really enjoyed the trip and felt that they still got something out of it.
We would love to work with you again, maybe in a local park or lake closer to our ‘home-base’ in White Plains. A big, BIG, thank you again to both you and Gigi for all of your help, support, and kindness in providing such a wonderful opportunity for our group, not to mention a very yummy and generous lunch!!!
Please let me know if we can schedule another trip and continue to help enhance our participants lives through the experiences they can have out in nature.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Rothe, LCSW
