Many schools in Kosovo lack basic sports equipment, and children with disabilities often feel excluded. We're training teachers across the country to include all children in sport activities, and we're also supplying schools with bags full of sports equipment. When teachers adapt to include everyone, it helps make Kosovo a friendlier place for everyone. Your donation means more children get to play and have fun together!
There's a tough situation in Kosovo for children with disabilities, especially when it comes to playing sports. Studies by PLAY International reveal that teachers and peers often exclude them due to lack of resources. Consequently, they are deprived of the opportunity to engage in play and develop meaningful friendships, as other kids do.
Our initiative offers a comprehensive solution to address this issue. We will conduct training sessions for primary education teachers (grades 1 to 5), focusing on integrating children with disabilities into sports activities. Additionally, we will distribute sports bags containing essential materials to facilitate these sessions and sustain their impact beyond the project duration. These materials are designed to be versatile, catering to various activities, and especially in engaging children
The lasting impact of our project goes beyond classrooms, shaping a more inclusive society. Through our active methodology, we're training teachers on how to include all children, even those with disabilities, in sports and games. This will make classrooms a friendlier place. As teachers share what they've learned, more kids will know how to be inclusive and kind. That's how we'll make Kosovo better for everyone, now and in the future!
