UNESCO Green Citizens recognize Blue Schools

By Karisa Arterbury | Director of Operations, Blue Schoools Developer

Hello,

Your support is paying off! Blue Schools reached over 300 students across the United States last year's pilot! What's more, United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is recognizing Blue Schools as 1 of 109 Green Citizens Projects. That is, projects that are innovative, impactful, and duplicable.

We are excited to continue reaching our goal of 17,000 students reached by Blue Schools with 16,700 left to go. Let's see how far we can take Blue Schools in 2022!

Blue Schools is a K-12 STEM program that teaches children and young adults to become active environmental stewards. Students discover the importance of their local watershed, learn about pollutants that contaminate local drinking water, and make a holistic connection between their environment and the long-term health of the local water supply, wildlife, and our one world ocean.

Thank you for your continued support of youth watershed and ocean awareness education.

Warm regards,

Karisa Arterbury
