Ocean Blue Project has launched the first Mini Pilot of the Blue Schools K-12 watershed curriculum. We collaborated with Vibe of Portland, a youth arts nonprofit, to deliver Blue Schools to 15 students in the Lower Willamette Watershed in Oregon. The mini pilot happened this week and we get to hear back from teachers in a listening session next week!
These mini pilots are designed to learn as much as we can from teachers and their students, so we can improve the overall program and figure out the best ways to customize the curriculum for different locales.
With a full pilot launch planned for the 2021-22 school year, the Blue Schools Team is excited to hear back from classrooms about the pledges and Stewardship Action Projects students will design to improve the health of their own watersheds.
Thank you so much for investing in this vital effort so we can leave better kids for our future planet! Help keep the momentum going by establishing a recurring monthly donation or by making a one time donation directly through the GlobalGiving platform.
Warm regards,
