Help Mothers and Girls Earn a Brighter Future

Since fighting broke out in April, the health services have virtually collapsed across the whole of Sudan.

The recent outbreak of cholera will put many lives at risk in Darfur. It is heart-breaking.

But, thanks to you, our trained midwives are giving mothers hope for the future and saving lives when hospitals are no longer able to function.

We always train two midwives in each of our rural villages and more people have been moving to these villages for health care alone. 

The Goats you have donated are also saving lives and giving Mothers an income.

Goats are providing protein-rich milk to hungry children, when families are afraid to leave their homes and food prices have rocketed by 500%.

Mothers have the opportunity to sell any excess milk to buy necessities and can, for the first time, make decisions for themselves and their families.

Our Paravets are more important now than ever before

Sadly we have learnt this week that animals are dying and without veterinary care no one knows why.

But in our Kids for Kids' villages the Paravets you have helped us train are thankfully continuing to work to ensure our Goats remain healthy.

Our villages are growing as people move to them because of what they offer.    

Longer term we must support as many other communities as we can, including and especially, providing health care to humans and animals.

It costs just £50 ($62) to provide a Nanny Goat.

£250 ($305) provides five Nanny Goats to one family.

£370 ($447) trains a Paravet to support a community and keep our animals healthy.

£2,000 ($2,414) helps us train a Midwife to save lives.
